I love this book because the author, Todd Hasak-Lowy, stretches those 33 minutes out into a full-on chapter book.

  6. Batman103 says:

I loved this book because it reminded me when my brother (this is not the main reason why I love this book) kicked my butt and because this book is very funny.

  7. SugarCookieLover says:

I loved 33 Minutes! While Sam worries about how in just 33 Minutes Morgan will kick his butt, Sam flashbacks to all the moments (good and bad) of his friendship with Morgan. If you like humor, you will love this book.

This is a great book. I love how Sam tries to stand up to his x-bestfriend Morgan, but he can’t cause Morgan is alot stronger than him. I like how even though Sam [Spoiler info deleted.]he has the courage to not give up trying to get his bestfriend back. He [Spoiler info deleted. — Kate Davie], but Sam his still kind to him and still a good person.

  29. zebrapup419 says:

I really like the author’s type of writing, how it kind of starts in the middle of the story and you have to read more to understand whats happening. Also the book draws you in, it makes you mad for the character happy for the character and sad. If a book does that for you, it’s a good book in my opinion. Now the book plot was awesome, it teaches you it is best to tell a grown up before a small fight gets to big. It also teaches you, that sometimes friendships aren’t always forever but there’s is many more friends to lean on. Another thing is there is a lot of action like, food fights, fist fights, dramas. I really enjoy the theme highschool in books so if you like that to you should like this book. If you like this book i suggest you read the book “WARP SPEED,” by Lisa Yee, it is a great DCF.(But not the DCF of this year is a DCF of 2012-2013.)

Thanks for this engaging assessment, Zebrapup419! — Kate Davie

  30. Sean says:

I think this book was great. The ending was really good. I liked it because off what happened, it was a good twist from most books. I would recommend this book.

  32. CMwaterpower says:

I really enjoy this book for all the wierd things that happen. like food fights and droping a bowling ball down a four story house . Some ways they describe things are really strange like it’s okay to like chickpeas.pulse it was not really funny when Someone threw a ball at Sam’s head. It was funny when Sam named the bump on his head Tootsie.Becuse it looks like a tootsie roll.

  33. njsamuelsen2004 says:

I have not read this book yet,but I have heard its very good. It’s about bullying, right?

For this book, that is not a simple question! — Kate Davie

33 minutes looks so good !!!!!!!!!! I want to blow up because this looks good !!!

Nope, no blowing up on the blog. It is good though!– Kate Davie

  35. CMwaterpower says:

The book is good it mostly talks about character(Sam Lewis) and his thought’s and feature’s. When Morgan Sturtz promise to kick Sam’s butt in exactly 33 minutes Sam thinks he wont stand a chance against Morgan.

  36. CMwaterpower says:

This book is very fun, funny and artistic all the qualities of a good book. Next year when I go to middle school I do hope I still keep the same great teachers, because in the book the teachers were pretty mean and weren’t very fun. The book is basically A diary for the main character Sam. Mostly because Sam is the narrator.

  37. Aleah says:

This book looks like something I would enjoy reading

  38. bio156 says:

I’ve been reading for the past 12 days and I just finished on the 22nd of October! It is a very good book that has a lot of things that could happen in my school next year in middle school like food fights. I thought the book was funny but I also felt sorry for Sam at some parts of the book. On October 20th in literacy we were studying using our background knowledge from the book and I got stuck on the word crackling, but then I realized that flames crackle in camp-fires.

    Good word-sleuthing! — Kate Davie
