I like Waiting For The Magic because its a really creative book, its joyful and its about animals that can talk, but, you can only hear them if you believe. Also I like the book because its also really funny, and there are dogs and cats and surprisingly the dogs don’t hate the cats. Its creative because its made up of imagination because animals can’t talk and its a really good book.Thats the book and why I like it.

Waiting for the Magic is about a family where the dad is only home sometimes. The family members are a brother a sister and a mom and dad. One day they wanted to get a dog. They went to a humane society and they adopt four dogs and a cat. My favorite dog in the book is Grace. What made me keep reading was in the middle of the book, their dad came for the girl’s birthday and the dogs were acting like he was an intruder.

Did you feel sorry for the dad when that happened? — Kate Da

This book is a very good book and it was interesting and very funny! I think that it was funny only some people could hear the dogs talk! Anyway, this book is a funny book that cannot happen in real life!

This is a great and funny book. We like the characters, especially the dogs. The dogs are funny. We also like Elinor because she can hear the dogs talking. It would be a great book to read out loud.

This is a funny book that is really impossible! I like it because it is amazing!

  •    SY  |  September 6th, 2012 at 4:31 am

This is a great book. It’s about four dogs, one cat, help one boy and his sister save their family. But truly magic saved them. My favorite role is Elinor, the sisiter. I like the way she believes in magic. I love how it takes everone else a little longer to believe. It shows that younger kids can understand things better than older kids. The author did a great job writing this, I love how she goves everone a part to play. This is a fantasy book, so if you like fantasy or dog books or cats read this DCF book.

Oops, Dear Moderator, We were just fooling around and trying out the system. We did not mean to post this comment which we know has many examples of what you tell us not to do!

Well, experimentation is healthy. You are being very polite and you’re not posting spoiler information, which are two of the big no-nos. I suppose you are a wee bit off-topic, but at least you’re discussing the blog, so it’s kind of DCF related! — Kate Davie

We just finished reading this book. It is awesome. We really enjoyed the way that the animals talked to each other and with the family members. We are glad that [Spoiler info deleted -- I think! I haven't read it myself yet, so you all are way ahead of me. -- Kate Davie].
