hi this is magic guy and this book is not a very good book because kate davie is not a good moderator

Your logic is confusing, MG. Poor Ms. Maloy is hardly to blame for my moderation skills. Plus, in another comment you said you liked it. That seems a tad contradictory to me. — Kate Davie

This book is amazing! However, the ending caught me by surprise. I would definitely still read it though, it’s very exciting, and all the magic is really neat. Maile Meloy really needs to write a sequel.

The ending really ruined the book. It was really good besides that but don’t read the end.

No flaming warrior, u r wrong

Creeper Man 121, I’m going to ask you to explain why, just as I asked Flaming Warrior. What is it about the book that makes you say FW is wrong? — Kate Davie

I thought that this book was so creative and interesting. It wasn’t as far-fetched as I thought it would be. This Apothecary is very detailed and I strongly recommend this to anyone that loves reading. It’s my favorite book now! It left me wanting more! :D

Ms. Meloy says on her website that she is working on another novel with these main characters, but it also says that she often works on more than one project at the same time. So it may be some time before we see more of this story! — Kate Davie

It’s all very well for you to make this assertion, but why? Can you point out to creeperman121 exactly where you disagree? — Kate Davie

The Apothecary is about a 14 year old named Janie and her friend Benjamin. Benjamin had an extraordinary dad, the apothecary. The three of them go on a journey across the sea while the escape the Soviet Union and they fly off buildings. I think the Apothecary is a good book for people who love adventurous books.

I am stuck between this book and The silver bowl as far as voting for a book.
I just wish there where more books like these. I love them, They fill me with joy and every time I open them they keep my reading their pages for hours on end.

There ARE more books like these! Your librarian can help you find some. You could also look at DCF lists from other years. They are posted on the DCF website [http://www.dcfaward.org/] If you read the annotations you they will tell you which titles are most similar to these fantasy titles. — Kate Davie
