I think that out of all the DCF books Storm Runners by Roland Smith should be nominated “best DCF book” of the year. I think that Storm Runners is the best DCF book because it is full of adventure, surprises, and turns of events that you would have never predicted. The beginning is slow but once you get past the first few pages you won’t be able to put it down. Another thing that makes this book so interesting and hard to put down is that it could easily be a true story. Things that happen in this book go on every day, and overall this is a very believable story with a realistic plot that will keep its readers sucked in until the end.

I think the book Storm Runners by Rolan Smith should win this years DCF vote. The book is very interesting because it makes you want to keep on reading. Rolan Smith described the events really well, like the storms and hurricanes, she would tell the reader exactly what’s going on and how the characters are feeling in the situation. Basically this book should win because a lot of teachers make students read the DCF books and I, being a student, liked this book and felt like other students would like it.

I really like this book because, I think it’s really neat that the father and son travel around the country helping people that have gotten stuck in bad storms. This book was probobly one of the most exciting DCF books this year.

I love this book, it is so exiting!
A horrible storm strikes and a boy is on a school bus they tossed into the water will they survive? Will they ever make it back to dry land? I really recommend this book, don’t worry when you finish, there is a sequel.

I really enjoyed this book because of the suspense and action. I think my favorite charicter is Chase, because he is a brave and good leader. I just do not agree with how they ended the book, even tho i can understand why they did this.

Have you had a chance to read the sequel? Maybe that will make you feel better about the ending. — Kate Davie
