What can I say about this book that isn’t obvious? It was so beautifully written, it had real, relatable characters, and it brought many tears to my eyes. Overall, 5 stars!

Hidden was a really interesting book. I loved how the two main characters’ lives tied together, and once I finished the book, I thought it was really cool how Darra’s poems had a hidden story between the lines. Not metaphorically, literally.

Hidden is a short story and I love the way that Darra and Wren are so much alike in some ways.

I love the book Hidden! It is about a girl who kind of gets kidnaped. What I mean by kind of is the car got stolen. A little girl was inside and the guy was so so so so scared she just stayed in the car the whole time but she finally got out of the car and she hide. And Dara that was the little girls name. The bad guy had a cat and the cat snuggled Dara.

  •    McKenna  |  November 27th, 2012 at 12:44 pm

it is crazy to think that Wren was stuck in the garage for days without anyone but Darra knowing!

  •    Keegan  |  November 27th, 2012 at 12:44 pm

It was a really good book.

  •    Jake  |  November 27th, 2012 at 12:44 pm

I really liked this book. It was intriguing and an exciting story. The different characters were cool to read about, both of them from different sides of the story.

Hidden is a really good book. There are two girls named Wren and Darra. Wren gets involved in a bad situation when she is a kid. Darra and her mom help Wren. Its a coincidence that several years later Darra meets Wren at summer camp.

  •    Frank  |  November 19th, 2012 at 12:32 pm

Hidden is a great book. You should really read it. Darra, Wren are really interesting charters. You will really really like them!!!!!!!!!!
They are shy at first, than they overcome it and talk to each other.

  •    love to read  |  November 12th, 2012 at 9:49 am

I love looking at the conflict in the story from both the “victim’s” (Wren) point of view, and “perpetrator’s” daughter’s (Darra), point of view. I think this was an amazing book.

  •    hippomostrocousalliophobia  |  November 8th, 2012 at 11:36 am

I really liked this book. Its really interesting from wrens point of view. At some points its hard to follow but it was my favorite book.

I love this book! It was so interesting.

Which did you think was more interesting, the plot or the two main characters? — Kate Davie

  •    rainbowsuperstars  |  October 24th, 2012 at 7:18 am

This book was really good, and in Darra’s Point of view on the long lines in the poem, if you go down the long lines it gives little hints about what it’s saying. I think this is a really neat book Even though in the Summary it gives away what happens the whole story, it has a really good beginning, middle, and end.

  •    pandabear  |  October 16th, 2012 at 6:17 am

i am wating to read this book

  •    Anonymous  |  October 15th, 2012 at 9:05 am

I didn’t really like this book. I thought that the plot was a bit bizarre and unrealistic. It just didn’t seem like this could have really happened. The one thing I did like was that is was a really short book and I read it very quickly.

This book was hard to put down with a very interesting back story. The author used two unique names, Wren and Darra, to make the memories come alive at camp.

    Re-post for Gail@BPL
I loved this book! Especially liked the way the author used a different print style for the two characters. I just can’t imagine what it must have been to like to have been through this experience!! Really looking forward to our book club discussion on Hidden!

Helen Frost, the author, seems to enjoy using type-face, and the layout of words as elements of her stories. I loved Diamond Willow which had such interesting layout. – Caroline DeMaio
