I thought it was very interesting to see how close Jamie Dexter and Private Hollister got. Although I would like to know what happens with TJ, I found it very interesting.

This book is interesting because it tells about the life of a girl in an awkward situation. Her dad works in the army, and she loves the army until her brother gets sent to war. When it is her birthday, she wishes he would come home. . .

I liked this book and I thought Jamie and Private Hollister were cool, but I didn`t like the ending so much. I was pretty short too.

Well, this story actually takes place in 1969, but I think some of the topics it discusses were just as relevant in the 1980s and are just as relevant now.

A quick look in the internet did not turn up any sequel plans, but it’s still a bit early for that.

I really enjoyed this book, because while it was sad it gave one a real sense of what it was like to have your whole life revolve around war. I think that O’Roark’s Shooting the Moon is definitely one of the number one DCF books of this year.
